I just realized...

That not everyone is really good at making decisions. Some struggle a whole lot more than others.

And I'm included in that list.

Somehow I believe I've been deciding and pronouncing to myself that I will do this and that...but my body has never been the obedient type. It pains me though...since I do feel like a vessel eagerly drinking all the inspiring things around me...and yet it just stays there. I never -- well so far lately -- I never or haven't  been letting the inspiration flow out of me. I feel constipated.

And it's so annoying you don't have a medicine for this kind of constipation. I tried everything.

-I tried to immerse myself on inspiring things...anything I could get my hands on. I could've practically jumped into an ocean in the figurative sense, and in the end I drowned.

-I tried to upset myself, making myself angry and frustrated in the hopes that it would make me draw something out of a revolutionary kind of way. But all for nought, I got too upset and slept/ate my way through oblivion...and all I gained was pounds that can't be converted to peso.

So...yeah. I went to both extremes already...and all went to nothing.

I feel like that sad blinking cursor, waiting to move and release pixelated letters for people to read once it gets published online or on paper. Blinking. Blinking. Blinking. Blinking into the wide, white space of the infinite internet...| | | | | | | | | | |....


haha.

But yeah, 'even failed effort builds muscle' just like what the Rebelutionaries kept on saying. So I'm not backing down yet...Before December...I promise you a bedazzling blog experience you'll fail to forget. RAR!

a few adjustments...

i changed my domain name.

it might even change further over time...but i just thought to make things more closer to the ground like it should. so much time have been lost on me though since work really got serious; i can't even make proper time for myself to draw the things i really want to draw. it's unsettlingly upsetting.

but i won't lose. i'm pretty sure this desperation to make real art and animation will come out, if not explode violently (which i hope won't happen), after all the pent up stress boiling up in me recently from work.

it's time to join the overextended class after all.

 haha. yeah. i'm still alive!

...almost barely in the metaphorical-figurative sense...

 sorry I haven't been posting much...really busy with work at the studio I'm at recently. Projects are continually pouring in -- what with a weekly local educational show for children and an upcoming pre-production designing phase for some stories we plan to pitch for Cartoon Network...plus the fact that I must study some CGI/3D-related video tutorials to keep up with the phase of our modern artistic world...I hope you get the picture by now. Heheh.

So I've got some free time in my hands...after watching some of the first Miyazaki film's I saw ever in my entire life (Spirited Away)...it inspired me and drove me to doodle some things and post it up here. Hopefully to inspire you audiences of mine...despite their simplicity and ruggedness.

I must admit the stuff I drew are not even related to Spirited Away...they're actually inspired by some other shows, like, Doctor Who and Game of Thrones...haha! But ah well...here they are.

I think I'm gonna start a new series in this blog called: The Late Promised Drawings Project

Haha...basically it's all the promised drawings I gave to people ever since time began that I used my skills to or for winning affection/bribery/payments/returning of favor/random impulsive gesture of thanks. Hopefully I'd be able to remember all the promises I've made over the years...if you want you can send me a disparaging hatemail about your long-forgotten-promised-drawing to remind me that I should do it now because I've kept you waiting for 7 years. Hahaha.

Anyway, to start off this project, here's a 2 months and 2 days late birthday present for my Auntie Dearest!

As June Ends...

Can you believe it? We're finally entering the 2nd half of the year. Time flies so fast...

Here's a few stuff I've doodled from the span of my absence...

first ever downpour in the philippines for the year 2011 (5.18) me and eveth slept over at the office to finish the animation for a local channel's station ID.

and...this is one of funny stuff that happened that night after we've dried off... :)) sorry it's in tagalog.

And...I'm actually feeling a bit jealous of my drawing...so I'll leave you with that -- since that's all the files I have stored up at home (most of my works and doodles are at the office since that's where I usually do everything recently...).

Later, I shall head off to some exhibit held up by some trendy street-art/doodle gang called WeeWillDoodle at The Collective in Makati. Great way to spend the last day of June, no? No just kidding. I'm alive and well.



Sorry for a month-long absence and lack of updates...I think my self-promised 'electron fasting' got too carried away and it forgot to include the very site I should really be fasting on -- Facebook. Urgh.

But anyways, as I was roaming about gathering inspiration and information so that I may be able to turn them into something worth the culmination of me and my friend's 'Evil Plan' mission.....(what the hell is it with me and rhyming?) I suddenly remembered that "Oh! I have a blog! And it's gaining cobwebs! The poor thing!" So here I am now...


trying to come up with an excu-- I mean...explanation as to why I wasn't updating as much as I used to. Well...not any good reason. I just have nothing to share with you guys yet. I know, I know...this blog was so full of promise earlier this year...and now it seems to have gone into a dip. And honestly the author is having a hard time going back up again with fresh artworks at hand. (EMOness.) Really sorry.


But know this, our 'Evil Plan' involves comic making. So basically me and my friend, Eveth are stirring something up that will hopefully hit the world wide web soon -- once we get our act together. For now...I think I must go to the wilderness and face myself and my God. Just like what Jesus, Elijah, Jonathan, Moses, Mary, Peter and those other cool dudes of the Bible did. To what wilderness...I don't know...it can be the nearest forest, or to the very depths of the forest within me.....[insert melodramatic musical scores here] who knows right?


Do pray that I get my act together...lots of sketches, concept art are piling up on my drive...so please, let me get myself fired up again, dear Daddy God. Sigh.

Fine. Here's some of our rough ideas that gave birth to the idea that 'Hey! We should make a comic about ourselves!!' Yeah...to be honest...we owe it all to Kung Fu Panda 2...haha. Why? Well because it all started with anticipation, wherein I decided that I should make a countdown for the premier -- which would be very interesting since we parallel the number of lead characters in the film (the Furious 5 + Po). So what the heck right?

7...this was drawn seven days before the premier. At first I wanted to do those single-shot portraits..but things got busy at the office...so I skipped.

3 days til premier. I drew the boys of our group. (lineart- me||colors- eveth)

2 days...(lineart- me||colors- eveth)

1 day left! It's our very own Po. Haha!

After all that, we didn't get to watch the movie on the premier date itself. (boo!) But Mitz, kept badgering me to do the 'piece de resitance' of this whole series...which eventually led to us brewing up an Evil Plan that is now in the pre-pre-production phase:

it was our very first mock-up poster. haha.

The entire thing still looks a bit too anime-ish. And we're trying to go away from that...but at least this gives us a generally-sort-of-vague-idea-but-hey-at-least-it's-still-an-idea kind of feel.

And there you have it, folks! Next time I'll be posting some of the stuff we've done so far regarding the whole production of this thing...toodles!
