Sketch sessions part 1..2014

Met up with friends from the college paper today...and met new ones as well! It was worth the time...I don't know what's up with me lately. I've been drawing more than I used to for the last 4 years. It feels great, but somewhat overwhelming because the feeling I might burst any minute if I don't let it out on paper is weird. Haha...anyway...

Well I haven't been talking much on here so it's only reasonable that nobody knows much. But...let's just say I'm getting to know my talent all over again. It's insane, it's like I'm discovering a new part of me even if it's been with me all this time. Mbleah. Hard to explain. All I know is I'm just glad I'm busy again.

Hopefully something more of a deeper purpose will come of this. I feel guilty that I'm being selfish for drawing and videogaming all the time and hiding myself from people who don't share the same interests that I have.

But I guess I needed a bit of selfishness to grow in me...just so I can get  hold of who I am and what I want with my life once more. Eventually I'll give it all back and make people happy in earnest.

Meh. Enough chatter...more drawing..so here ya go some of the stuff that happened earlier :P

So I forgot to tell you some news

yep.

I OFFICIALLY HAVE ILLUSTRATED A BOOK! MY FIRST BABIES. FIVE OF THEM. I HAVE QUINTIPLETS!!!! Hahahaha! Ahhhhh~

Yeah it's actually a one-week-late news for blogspot...since I've been raving about it this Wednesday when I got home and found the package on our dining table. Guuuuh. Awesome day is awesome.

Looking at this picture still makes me shake my head slowly in disbelief and awe...hahaha.

Lots of blessings are happening this month and it's just the first week! I can't wait for what else are in store in the future. Man.......meeeeeyyyyynnn.

Anywhooo...I'm starting a new project over at tumblr, cheggit out! I'll be uploading the first three over here just for fun. :)

Here's a little something for Christmas. Have a great week! Especially now that New Year's just along the corner.~

I promised myself I'll be posting good quality works in my blog from now on...and this is probably the drawing to start it off.  It took much effort on my part...since I'm not really used to spending much time on personal works...but I gotta admit that it's truly, definitely fulfilling to actually FINISH something not because your boss needs it or your client or someone else. Funny thing is, it took me into varying levels of self-discovery as I worked on this piece -- mostly it involves the revelation of how lazy I truly am. Hahaha. A professional would've finished this in half a day. It took me two midnights.

That, and I really have a lot to work on with myself...both in drawing skills and...uh, let's just say I need to go under an extreme overhaul. -points to all of me both inside and out- LOL.

I've been so depressed lately. Somehow purging it all out on this drawing helps. I feel much better.

Anywho~

You guys think it's print worthy? I'm thinking of doing a couple of more illustrations in varying themes to put up for sale.

Plus...the idea of me making small commissions: a yes or a no...or not just yet, keep practicing? Hahaha. Just saying my thoughts aloud. :)
